The kitchen already had a strong and efficient layout but the space was dark and ready for updating. To maximize the budget, we kept the layout mostly the same except for some minor changes. We used light colors for the materials to brighten and open up the space. The handmade tiles extend up to the ceiling to create a sense of unity and height. We changed the counter seating so that it would maximize the space around the stove and be more conducive to gathering. The kitchen is the heart of the home.
